Rapunzel Gets Tangled Pantomime - Auditions

Be part of this hair raising adventure! The most fun you'll have on stage...EVER! Great music from the 80's, modern pop, stage and film musicals (Book of Mormon, Jungle Book and of course... well we can't tell you everything! You'll need to audition to find out!   

Can you act, sing or dance? Or maybe you'd like to try your hand on stage for the first time? This is the perfect opportunity to do so! 

Not keen on the limelight? Try your hand backstage, costume and prop design and making, set building, tech (lighting and sound), or bar and front of house.

We'll need to hear you sing a song or two from the Audition Song list that wil be emailed to you (don't worry, we're not looking for the newest Hugh Jackman or Beyonce) just a great "go for it attitude"! You'll be given a monologue to read and we may ask you to try a few funny accents or voices. 

Everyone gets a role! There are lots available - it's a big cast! 

You will emailed with audition details as soon as you have registered/"bought a free ticket.

Characters

Rapunzel                      (Female)   Of course! 

GOTOHELL                   (Female - mature) Rapunzel’s “Mother” but really an evil witch. The villain of our story.

Prince Bryl Creem      (Female/Male) Rapunzel’s love interest and attempted saviour.

Slick                              (Male) Prince Bryl’s trusty ward.

King Vidal                       (Male) The king of Bouffant, a kingdom where everyone has great hair.
Queen Sasson               (Female) Rapunzel’s real Mom. 
Dame Donna Trumpet  (Male) Hair salon owner, wears a strangely familiar orange                                                                 wig. Makes bad hair products.

Dan                              (Male/Female)  A good natured, heavily accented, and thick as a
                                      plank member of the ‘Hair Die’ gang.

Druff                             (Male/Female) A good natured, heavily accented, and thick as a
                                      plank member of the ‘Hair Die’ gang.

Sue                                (Male) An ill natured member of the ‘Hair Die’ gang.

Dread                             (Male) An ill natured member of the ‘Hair Die’ gang.

Locks                             (Male) An ill natured member of the ‘Hair Die’ gang.

Stubble                          (Male) An ill natured member of the ‘Hair Die’ gang.

Trumpeter                   Must be able to play basic trumpet.

The Monster                 Good timing & the ability to terrify small children! 

Villagers                         Chorus (the most important member of the cast!) - this will be a busy                                             chorus, lots of songs and scenes!
